Layra Lina Phibrows Studio Aftercare Process

EYEBROWS take between 4-6 weeks to fully heal. After this time you may receive your 1 touch-up if color hasn't retained, or if you would simply like to add more definition to your eyebrow tattoo. Touch up is not included in the price.
After the topical numbing wears off you may feel some tenderness on and around the eyebrow area. You may also experience slight swelling and redness the day of your procedure; this is normal and typically goes away within 24-48 hours. At this point you may take Tylenol if you feel any pain, but avoid Aspirin or Ibuprofen as it can cause blood thinning, which could interfere with pigment retention.
At first your eyebrows will appear darker and bolder immediately after the procedure, but will soften and fade as your skin heals in the coming days. The color will be changing throughout next couple of weeks. This is 100% normal. As with anything new on our faces, you will need time to adjust to new eyebrow design.
Within a few days (typically 5-10) you will notice some scabbing or flaking on the tattooed area, do not pick any scab!!! Doing so can result in loss of pigment in those areas. Brows may appear uneven or patchy until the entire brow has finished exfoliating. You may notice that some areas may appear very light or even to have lost pigment entirely after they have peeled, the epidermis will be thicker causing muting, hiding or diffusing of pigment underneath. The epidermis will normalize over the next 4-6 weeks and softened pigment will resurface and "bloom" back into the surface of the skin.
At 4-6 weeks your brows will be fully healed. If you’d prefer darker, bolder brows we can always add more color or dimension during your follow-up appointment!

After your Phibrows Treatment, your Artist will inform you about how to care for your new semi-permanent brows. You will also be given a paper copy of the below information to follow.
Clients need to follow ALL aftercare instructions to obtain best possible results post treatment.

On the day of your treatment

Gently wipe the area with damp cotton rounds to absorb excess lymph fluid. Do this every hours for at least the first 3 hours or best until going to bed. Please be gentle on them. Do not touch the healing area (brows) with your fingers as they may have bacteria on them and could cause infection.

The day after your treatment
Apply a rice grain amount of skin candy provided (if advised) starting the next day. Skin candy only thin layer 2-3 times a day for the next 7 days. Please only use a clean cotton bud to apply.
Rules to follow for the next 10 days after treatment:
Shower

Do not wash your eyebrows following 5-7 days.If you need take a shower before that please apply a small layer of Vaseline cream to the brows it should only be enough to create a barrier on the skin. No need for a clumpy thick layer. Please turn the temperature down to as cool as you can take it (avoid creating steam in the room) and please have a quick shower. Exposing your brows to steam for a long time is not good for them! Even though you have a layer of Vaseline on the brow area please do not get your brows wet! Any water near the brows will affect the healing and could cause unwanted scabbing. You can take a shower after first week but you need to be gentle on them before completely healded!

Exercise
It is so important that you discontinue any exercise for the next 10 days any beads of sweat will break down the pigment and result in poor results. This includes the use of weights, yoga & Pilates.

The outcome of permanent cosmetic procedures vary per individual. The better condition your skin is in, the better the final result will be. Dry, sun damaged skin and lips are very difficult to achieve a beautiful even result. Mature clients may need an additional one to two weeks healing for the final results to appear as healing process takes longer. The better care you are taking of your skin to protect it from UV rays, the better the outcome and lifespan of the permanent cosmetic procedures.
